Parental Involvement - Courses

Throughout the year, Farfield Family Learning Centre runs a variety of courses for parents and carers, such as:

  • Adult numeracy
  • Adult Literacy
  • First Aid
  • C.V writing

Currently, the following weekly sessions also run :




Tuesday - 9.15am-10.30am Stay and Play.


  Stay and play

This could be an ideal opportunity to meet other parents from Farfield Primary and Nursery. It also gives children the opportunity to make friends and develop their social skills whilst learning through play.

A chance for parents and children to make new friends.





Friday - Coffeee morning 9am till 10am

Full breakfast available, menu is in school notice board and outside the office. All kitchen staff have their food hygeine certificate. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times. we have regular drop ins from oral health and the school nurse.

Drop in have a coffee and a chat, meet new people.

Throughout  the year we also run one off work shops, these are advertised on the school newsletter and text service, the next workshops will be Parent and child scary workshop on 24th October followed by a Christmas craft workshop on 9th December.

We also have 'The Friends of Farfield' (Parent teachers association - PTA) we are always looking for new members to help support the summer and Christmas fayres. If you are interested in any of the courses above or would like to know more about the PTA please contact Irene Sutcliffe.
